The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the Israeli aggression against Iran, calling it a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and an escalation targeting the region and its security and stability.
In a statement on Saturday, Hamas held the Israeli occupation regime fully responsible for the repercussions of the US-backed aggression against Iran.
“This fascist Israeli aggression has vindicated further the nature of the criminal occupation regime, which persists in shedding the blood of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and other Arab and Islamic peoples while relying on a criminal military and political cover from the US administration and some Western capitals,” Hamas said.
Hamas applauded the military preparedness of Iran’s air defenses and their ability to repel the Israeli missile attacks.
The Movement expressed its solidarity with Iran in its confrontation of the Zionist entity’s arrogance and rogue behavior, appreciating “the courageous positions of the Iranian people and their leadership in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.”
In a related context, other Palestinian factions condemned the Israeli attack on Tehran, calling it a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a dangerous threat to the regional security and stability.
They also voiced their solidarity with Iran, its people and leadership and their support for its right to defend itself and respond to the Israeli aggression.
“This aggression has happened in the midst of ongoing massacres being committed by the criminal [Israeli] entity in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, with full American cover and partnership, in an attempt to impose hegemony through military force and intimidation, taking advantage of the international silence and the Western complicity,” Islamic Jihad said.
For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) stated that “the Israeli aggression, which happened with the participation of the United States of America and following coordination with it, proved its failure to achieve its goals.”
PFLP said that Tehran enhanced its presence and position as a deterrent against the Israeli occupation and as a defender of its own people and the region’s peoples.
The Resistance Committees in Palestine, for its part, hailed the Iranian air defenses’ “outstanding success in repelling the Israeli aerial and missile strikes, protecting the country’s capabilities and thwarting the enemy’s goals and plans.”
