The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the US administration for making false claims that the Israeli occupation government took measures to improve the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
“This US position has vindicated further that the administration of president Joe Biden is a full partner in the brutal war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for over a year, as well as in 35 days of ethnic cleansing, genocide and starvation campaigns in northern Gaza,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
“Such blatant claims are belied by the facts on the ground and the reports of UN and international rights and humanitarian organizations that confirm that areas in the Gaza Strip, especially in the north, have reach the brink of famine as a result of the starvation policy that are being pursued by the fascist occupation army, in the midst of ongoing massacres against defenseless civilians,” Hamas added.
“The departing US administration insists on giving the fascist occupation government more opportunities and time to continue its aggression, crimes and violations of all laws and norms and providing it with political and military cover and protection from accountability and punishment through disrupting tools of the international law and the conventions and treaties designed to protect civilians,” Hamas said.
Hamas accused the outgoing US administration of being a “primary sponsor of the fascist occupation entity’s terrorism” against the Palestinian people and other peoples of the region.
The Movement affirmed that the US connivance with Israel’s war crimes would only increase the Palestinian people’s determination to stand firm and uphold the path of resistance until they extract their legitimate rights to freedom, return and self-determination.
