The Hamas Movement said in a statement on Friday that the martyrdom of Samih Aliwi, 61, from Nablus, and Anwar Asleem, 44, from Gaza in Israel’s prisons reflect its escalating crimes against the Palestinian prisoners.
Hamas charged that such crimes fall in line with the policy of “slow death” exercised by the Israeli prison service against those prisoners.
It pointed out that the suffering of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, which killed a big number of them, is an addition to Israel’s long list of violating international laws.
Hamas urged the Palestinian masses, relatives of prisoners, and all human rights groups to intensify efforts to support prisoners with all means possible and to expose the Israeli crimes at international platforms.
The General Authority for Civil Affairs has earlier Friday informed the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society about the martyrdom of the two prisoners in the Israeli jails.
