The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens and injured others during raids in the West Bank last night, while Palestinian resistance fighters reportedly attacked and clashed with Israeli forces in different areas of the West Bank, injuring some soldiers, including a high-ranking officer.
According to local sources, two citizens suffered critical injuries when the IOF carried out a drone attack in Tamun town, south of Tubas.
The IOF came under fire from resistance fighters in Tamun town and one of its vehicle sustained damage after an explosive device was detonated at it.
Al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad said that fighters from its Tubas Brigade were able to ambush Israeli forces near the Tareq Club in Tamun town.
“Our fighters were able to detonate a highly explosive device at a military jeep, damaging it and inflicting injuries on enemy soldiers. Our heroes were also able to clash with soldiers who came to the rescue at close range, inflicting injuries among them,” al-Quds Brigades explained.
In Tulkarem, the Israeli army admitted that a senior commander was moderately wounded in an attack with an explosive device during while traveling in an armored vehicle with another senior officer.
Resistance fighters from the Tulkarem Brigade, an affiliate of al-Quds Brigades, were also able to detonate at 3:27 a.m. today a number of homemade explosive devices at IOF bulldozers in al-Manshiya area in Nur Sham refugee camp.
Meanwhile, the IOF kidnaped two citizens from their homes in Tulkarem, particularly in Iktaba suburb of the city and Deir al-Ghusun town.
In Nablus, the IOF kidnaped four young men from al-Jabel ash-Shamali area in the city. Three of the detainees are from the same family.
Another citizen was taken prisoner during an IOF raid in Balata refugee camp in eastern Nablus.
The IOF reportedly bulldozed and blocked roads during its raid in Balata camp.
Israeli forces also stormed apartment buildings during a raid in the western area of Nablus City.
In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped a citizen from his home in Beit Kahil town and another one in Dura town.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces kidnaped one citizen from his home in Birzeit town and an unidentified number of citizens in al-Am’ari refugee camp, north of Bireh City.
