The Hamas Movement said on Friday morning it has handed over the proposed names to Egypt to form the Community Support Committee to temporarily manage the Gaza Strip, noting that this committee will have political authority over the Strip according to the Palestinian presidential decree.
Hamas added in a statement that it has responded positively to the efforts made by Egypt and sought from the beginning to form a national consensus government or a technocratic government, to provide temporary solutions to the current conditions of the Strip in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
The Movement stressed that it is fully prepared to implement the agreements reached nationally within the framework of the Palestinian political system, and that it remains open to any formula that would unite the Palestinian people and restore respect to its political institutions.
The Movement concluded its statement by affirming its readiness to work with all Palestinian parties to achieve comprehensive national consensus, calling for strengthening Palestinian unity to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.
