SALFIT, (PIC)
A group of extremist Jewish settlers started on Tuesday to build a road on swaths of Palestinian land seized from Yasuf village in eastern Salfit, north of the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that settlers embarked on building a dirt road extending from Yasuf village to the towns of Beita and Huwara in Nablus province.
The sources warned that this road will devour dozens of dunums of Palestinian-owned land planted with olive trees, pointing out that Yasuf village and its residents have seen fierce settler violations for years.
He pointed out that this road will swallow dozens of dunums of citizens’ lands planted with olive trees, noting that the village has been subjected to fierce attacks by settlers in recent years, and direct targeting of citizens’ lands and private property.
