Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, on Friday night, resulting in the eruption of clashes with the residents after IOF raided the homes of Palestinian prisoners, who are supposed to be released on Saturday as part of the seventh batch of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Israeli troops sabotaged the preparations made by the families to receive their relatives among the prisoners to be released today.
Palestinian news pages published a video clip showing the Israeli occupation soldiers ascending the dome of Salah al-Din Mosque during their storming of Abu Dis town.
The Prisoners’ Media Office, meanwhile, reported on Friday that the Israeli authorities are preventing the wife of the dean of prisoners, Nael Al-Barghouti, and the family of the prisoner Khalil Abu al-Rub, from traveling to Egypt to receive their relatives who are scheduled to be released today.

The Office said in a statement, the occupation intelligence agents banned Al-Barghouti’s (Abu Al-Nour) wife from traveling, as she was heading to Egypt to receive her husband.
The statement added, “The occupation intelligence prevents the family of the prisoner Ashraf Khalil Hussein Abu Al-Rub from traveling to meet their son who was deported to Egypt.”
The prisoners Nael Barghouti and Ashraf Abu Al-Rub are among the prisoners deported from Palestine as their families reside in the occupied West Bank. They are scheduled to be released on Saturday, as part of the seventh batch of the prisoner exchange deal.
Earlier on Friday, the Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced that Israel will release 602 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday, including 50 prisoners sentenced to life and 60 others with high sentences.
By Friday, Israel had received 19 prisoners and four bodies, and is scheduled to receive six more prisoners on Saturday, in addition to four more bodies next week, thus ending the first phase of the agreement.
In return, Israel released 1,135 Palestinian prisoners, including dozens who were sentenced to life imprisonment.
Israel is still delaying the start of second round of negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, which was supposed to begin on February 3.
