Sabri warns of Israeli attempts to seize Palestinian real-estate in Jerusalem

Saturday 21-April-2007

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Sheikh Ekrema Sabri the chairman of the higher Islamic authority in occupied Jerusalem has warned of suspicious real-estate deals by which a number of Palestinian owned buildings in occupied Jerusalem were being sold to Israelis.

The former Mufti of Palestine said that Israeli companies were buying Palestinian buildings in eastern and western Jerusalem and selling them abroad. He asked Palestinians to be on the alert fearing that those real-estates might fall in the end in the hands of fanatic Jewish societies or colonialist organizations.

Sabri addressing the Friday congregation in the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem said that the holy city is part and parcel of the occupied Palestinian lands and its “throbbing heart”.

He asserted that Israel should withdraw form the holy city and should acknowledge the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland.

In his sermon the Sheikh also held Israeli fully responsible for impeding the prisoners’ swap deals whether with Lebanon or Palestinian resistance factions.

He said that all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation jails who number more than 11000 should be released pointing to the fact that IOF troops were kidnapping more Palestinian citizens on daily basis.
