OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi the Palestine chief justice has urged the world community and human rights organizations to help Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation jails to win their freedom.
Tamimi in a press release on the occasion of the Palestinian prisoner’s day on Tuesday 17/4 described the prisoners question as “just” and should be accorded greater attention on the part of the world.
He said that pressures must be exerted on the Hebrew state to release those prisoners whose number surpassed 11000.
Warning Muslims worldwide that ignoring those prisoners’ issue was a “sin” the chairman of the higher council of religious courts in Palestine underlined that those prisoners are subjected to oppression and psychological torture at the hands of the Israeli prisons authority in a bid to weaken their determination and to break their morale.
Tamimi finally urged the PA government to accord top priority to the question of prisoners.
