Six Palestinians, including two children, were killed and ten others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting tents sheltering displaced individuals in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, on Tuesday evening.

The attack raises the death toll in the city to 18 since the early hours of the same day.

Among the victims were the two brothers, Maisara, 8, and Yusuf Abdel Quddus Suleiman al-Madlal, 9, as well as 75-year-old Mansour Mohammed Mansour Abu Muammar, Subhi Ismail Jargoun, Abdul Rahman Mohammed al-Maghari, and Mohammed Kamal Mahmoud Zannoun, who succumbed to his injuries later.

Earlier in the day, Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations in Khan Yunis, including the al-Manara neighborhood and the Qizan al-Najjar area. Homes belonging to residents Idrees Farwana, Hani Hamdi al-Shaer, and Abu Khaled Islayh were destroyed.

In a separate incident, three individuals—Mahmoud Ali Eid al-Shaer, Abdul Rahman Hassan Eid al-Shaer, and Yusuf Ubaid Mohammed al-Arja—were killed by an Israeli drone strike in Qizan al-Najjar.

Additionally, the bodies of four individuals—Yusuf Hassan Islayh, Louay Zaki Kawarea, Mohammed Salem Sarhan, and Hussein Hassan Abu Azzoum—were recovered from the al-Manara neighborhood following a prior Israeli airstrike.

On Monday night, at least five people, including three children, were killed and over 40 others injured in an Israeli artillery strike on tents housing displaced persons in the southern al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. Ambulances transported the casualties to the British Hospital and the Red Cross facility.

These attacks have intensified the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where over 52,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
