A Palestinian child was injured on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him in Jenin, north of the West Bank.
According to the Red Crescent, a 13-year-old child suffered bullet injuries in his arm and leg during skirmishes between local youths and Israeli forces in al-Yamun town, west of Jenin.
Local sources said that a large number of Israeli troops stormed Yamun town and detained several young men in the southern area.
In a separate incident, the IOF seized on the same day a tractor and a trailer used for agricultural purposes in Jalbun village, east of Jenin.
Those vehicles were intercepted and confiscated by Israeli soldiers while they were transporting construction items to the site of a solar energy project belonging to the village council, according to chief of the village council Ibrahim Abul-Rub.
Abul-Rub added that this energy project was related to the village’s water well, affirming that the project was already licensed by the competent authorities.
In east Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation police reportedly set up a checkpoint and security screening gates in Ras al-Amud neighborhood in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan, south of the Aqsa Mosque.
Local sources said that police officers stopped Palestinian vehicles and citizens and checked their IDs at these checkpoints.
