Israeli settlers attacked the property of a Palestinian family and erected a new structure close to citizens’ tents near the Hamra checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley.
Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh explained that the extremist settlers installed an arbor near citizens’ tents in Naba Ghazal al-Farsiya area in the northern Jordan Valley.
The community has been suffering for months from escalating settlers’ violations in the area where they install their tents and arbors very close to the citizens’ tents, in addition to raiding their tents at night.
Last night, settlers attacked the property of a family near the Hamra military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley and stole dozens of heads of livestock belonging to the same family.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers vandalized solar panels used by the family for lighting, tore down some tents and damaged tires of water tankers in the same area.
In recent weeks, settler attacks on citizens’ property and attempts to steal their sheep have escalated in a clear attempt to empty the Jordan Valley of its inhabitants.
