The Head of Hamas’s Leadership Council, Mohammed Darwish, received the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mr. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, on Thursday in Doha.
The meeting was attended by members of the Hamas Leadership Council, including Khaled Mishaal, Khalil al-Hayya, Nizar Awadallah, and Zaher Jabarin.
The discussions reviewed the latest developments regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, including acts of genocide and the starvation war being waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
Darwish praised the Afghan experience and Afghanistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation.
The Hamas leader affirmed the Palestinian people’s unwavering commitment to their land and legitimate rights, stressing that the resistance would continue until freedom and independence are achieved.
For his part, the Afghan Foreign Minister reiterated his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, describing it as “the central issue of the Islamic Ummah.”
Muttaqi expressed his deep appreciation for the steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people, who continue to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque against tyranny.
