The Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip has announced that 40 Palestinians were martyred and 125 others wounded over the past 24 hours.
It added in a statement on Sunday that the number of casualties since March 18, 2025 had reached 2,436 martyrs and 6,450 injured.
The number of casualties since the start of the Israeli genocide in Gaza on 7 October, 2023 had thus risen to 52,535 martyrs and 118,491 injured, the statement said.
It said that many victims are still buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings and could not be retrieved due to Israeli army restrictions.
