Israeli bulldozers began demolishing several residential buildings in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem city in the northern occupied West Bank, on Tuesday.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers commenced demolitions around midday, targeting several multi-story homes in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of Nur Shams.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) had previously announced plans to demolish 106 Palestinian structures in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps, accompanied by maps marking the targeted homes in red.
The ongoing aggression has led to the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families from the two camps, affecting over 25,000 residents. Additionally, 396 homes have been completely destroyed and a further 2,573 partially damaged. The entrances and alleys of the camps have been blocked with earth mounds, severely restricting movement.
The city has witnessed constant movement of Israeli military vehicles and foot patrols, disrupting the daily lives of civilians, particularly around Jamal Abdel Nasser Square, Martyr Thabet Thabet Roundabout, Nablus Street, and Shweika Roundabout.
These operations are accompanied by the use of live ammunition and stun grenades, along with the raiding and ransacking of homes and shops, subjecting residents to interrogation, abuse, and arbitrary arrest.
Meanwhile, the IOF continued to seize homes and residential buildings along Nablus Street and the adjacent northern neighborhood, forcibly evicting residents and converting buildings into military outposts, with bulldozers and military vehicles stationed in the surrounding areas.
