NABLUS (PIC)– The IOA on Sunday barred MP Sheikh Hamed Al-Beitawi a member of the change and reform bloc in the PLC from traveling to Jordan to complete his medical treatment.
Beitawi also head of the Palestinian Scholars League said the Israeli security officers in the Karama Crossing asked him to wait for a security check and after a four-hour detention he was informed of his travel ban.
The MP stated that he had traveled two months ago to Jordan to start a medical treatment course and when he tried to go for a check up and to complete the treatment he was blocked from travel which may cause him health problems.
He condemned the IOA prejudicial decision describing it as “contrary to the conventions that offer patients free access to the appropriate place to receive full treatment and that guarantee MPs freedom of movement from one place to another.”
