Saturday 14-April-2007

JENIN (PIC)– IOF units lost a bulldozer and a jeep during an incursion into Jenin refugee camp that was met with stiff resistance on the part of joint fighters of the AMB and the Quds Brigades.

Both armed wings of Fatah and Islamic Jihad declared joint responsibility for confronting the invasion troops at a late hour Friday night noting that the fierce clashes continued until the early morning hours of Saturday.

They charged in a joint statement that the IOF troops targeted the liquidation or arrest of a number of resistance fighters adding that the Quds fighters blasted a device in the bulldozer while the AMB members blasted another one in the army jeep.

Both vehicles were seen ablaze as the IOF units dragged them outside the camp according to the statement.

Meanwhile IOF soldiers rounded up five Palestinians in Nablus city at dawn Saturday including three of one family after wreaking havoc in their family homes.

Another IOF unit broke into and ransacked the culture society headquarters also in Nablus at dawn Saturday. Witnesses said that the soldiers confiscated all computers in the society premises in addition to different files.

In Ramallah IOF soldiers arrested 13 Palestinians on Friday on suspicion of throwing stones at Israeli vehicles.

In the Gaza Strip Palestinian resistance fighters fired two upgraded missiles at the Sderot settlement in 1948 occupied lands at dawn Saturday.

The AMB claimed responsibility for the attack in retaliation to IOF crimes against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
