QALQILIA (PIC)– IOF troops stormed at dawn Thursday Qalqilia city north of West Bank and launched a large-scale arrest campaign in lines of the Hamas Movement’s members and supporters.
A Palestinian security source told PIC that IOF troops mounting 15 army vehicles raided a number of neighborhoods and stormed the citizens’ houses forcing women and children out in the open before rounding up a number of citizens.
The IOF troops have not halted cracking down and kidnapping Hamas members and supporters among other citizens in the Qalqilia district over the past week. The occupation forces kidnapped more than 40 Hamas supporters and other citizens in that period.
For its part Hamas strongly condemned the IOF campaigns of kidnapping citizens in the city particularly the Movement’s members and cadres.
“Hamas in Qalqilya and the rest of the occupied homeland is subjected to a campaign of abductions and arrests aimed to undermine and weaken the Movement” Hamas spokesman in the city said asserting that the arrests will result only in adding more strength to the Movement and will boost its persistence on the resistance march.
