RAMALLAH (PIC)– A delegation from the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) visited on Wednesday South Africa’s embassy as part of the parliamentary visits to ambassadors to Palestine.
The delegation included Jerusalemite MP Mohammed Totah MP Ayman Daraghmeh MP Ahmed Mubarak and MP Hassan Yousef.
The delegation discussed during the meeting the South African positions in support of the Palestinian people and their national cause in addition to a number of issues including the detention of 11 Palestinian MPs in Israeli jails and the exile of three Jerusalemite MP and former minister from occupied Jerusalem.
The lawmakers explored with the South African ambassador the avenues to pressure the Israeli occupation authority to halt its violations and Judaization policy in Jerusalem and the efforts to activate the Palestinian cause in international meetings and conferences.
