RAMALLAH (PIC)– Large numbers of fully-geared IOF troops stormed different parts of the West Bank at dawn Saturday amidst intensive machinegun shooting alleging they were searching for “wanted” activists Palestinian security sources revealed.

In Jenin city and Qalqilia cities special units of the IOF ransacked a number of Palestinian homes and wreaked havoc in them before arresting two Palestinian youths in Qalqilia. No arrests were reported in Jenin’s raid the sources added.

The IOF military operation in the West Bank coincided with a crucial session held by the PLC for confidence-vote on the PA unity government of PA premier-designate Ismail Haneyya.

On Friday large numbers of Israeli soldiers backed by 15 military vehicles stormed the refugee camp of Ain Al-Ma’a and traded fire with Palestinian resistance fighters before retreating from the camp.

In Tulkarm city northwest of the West Bank around 300 IOF troopers carried out military exercises during night in areas surrounding the city.

The military maneuver was the third of its kind within the past two months which generated real fears among Palestinian civilians of a possible wide-scale Israeli invasion of their lands.

Local observes opined that the storming operations were deliberate with the aim to spoil the session and derail the vote process; yet the PLC session went ahead as scheduled they added.

In Khan Younis city hospital sources in the city affirmed that two Palestinian youths were wounded when an IOF leftover exploded in their hands. Health condition of the two youngsters was reportedly stable.

Shalit’s file:

“The Israeli occupation government backed out of the negotiations in the last minute” said Abu Mujahid.

Captors of Shalit want all Palestinian women and children captives be released form Israeli jails in addition to 1000 Palestinian captives including those who have been in jail for more than 20 years in return for Shalit’s freedom.
