Four Palestinian refugees killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD (PIC)– Iraqi troops affiliated with the interior ministry killed four Palestinian refugees and wounded or kidnapped scores others on Wednesday in a brutal offensive on those refugees’ residential complex in Baghdad.

Refugees in the Baladiyat complex said that the troops backed by american occupation forces were besieging the complex and firing at any one moving outside his house while maintaining shelling of residential quarters.

They said that the offensive which started at 0800 am local time was coupled with storming homes kidnapping men and terrorizing children without any prior notice.

The early reports said that an old Palestinian man was killed in the first hours of the attack. He had fled Basra only a few days ago along with his family members fleeing for their lives.

The sources said that inhabitants of the Baladiyat complex (15000) were facing big difficulties in acquiring first aid in view of the siege.

The refugees appealed to all concerned parties atop of whom the Palestinian leadership to extend a helping hand and to intervene to halt the attack which they described as the most ferocious against them for months. They warned that the refugees were facing an annihilation campaign.

Eight Palestinian refugees were killed in Iraq during the past month of February while 15 others were kidnapped at the hands of different armed groups.
