IOF troops kill one Palestinian and capture two

Friday 9-March-2007

GAZA (PIC) — IOF troops killed on Friday evening a young Palestinian man near the borderline east of the Buraij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Palestinian medical sources said that the body of a Palestinian man in his mid-twenties was brought to Shuhada al-Aqsa hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip after an Ambulance managed to evacuate him from the border area.

The same sources said that it was difficult to identify the victim because he was hit with a bullet in the head which has resulted in multiple fractures to skull. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Muhammad Ahmad al-Ghalban from the city of Khan Younis.

Sources informed PIC that Ghalban had disappeared from Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip a few days ago.

The IOF stated earlier that two Palestinians were captured by the IOF troops after one of them was wounded in the same area but did not reveal the identities of the two captured Palestinians.

An IOF General was seriously wounded on Thursday in the same area when IOF troops crossed into it and were confronted by the Palestinian resistance. The Quds Brigades the armed wing of Islamic Jihad said that one of its snipers hit and wounded the IOF General.
