OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Imam of the Aqsa Mosque condemned during the Friday sermon the continued Israeli excavations at the Magharba Gate and said they showed disregard to Arab and Islamic “shy” reactions to those excavations.
Sheikh Muhammad Hussain the Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine said that the Israeli occupation authorities continue their aggression at the Magharba Gate unabated for the fourth week running.
The Immam stressed that the area of the excavations contains important Islamic relics and that the Magharba Gate the Buraq Wall and all gates and pathways attached to the Aqsa Mosque are considered part of it and any tampering with them is tampering with the Aqsa Mosque itself.
He added that the Israeli occupation aggression involves changing the features of these annexes of the Aqsa Mosque to serve the Judaization efforts.
These aggressions are also used by Israeli occupation politicians to get the support of extremist Jews the Imam said.
Finally he stressed that the dangers to the Aqsa Mosque are very real and that defending the Aqsa Mosque should be at the top of Islamic Ummah priorities.
