Zionist high court allows settlement fences to gobble up more Palestinian lands

Friday 23-February-2007

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC) — The Zionist high court rejected on Friday and appeal by Palestinian land owners against the building of settlement fences on lands confiscated from West Bank Palestinians.

The court ruled that the settlements can go ahead an build the fences even if that meant confiscating more Palestinian lands.

The appeal was brought two years ago by 10 Palestinian landowners from different West Bank villages who have been affected by these fences which are seen to be just another excuse to confiscate more land to add the confiscated lands the settlements are built on.

The Palestinian landowners from the villages of Beit-leid Ramin and Shoffa complained about fences built around the Jewish settlements of Enav and Aveni Hefitz which were built of confiscated lands in the northern West Bank.

Jewish settlements built on Palestinian lands in the West Bank are always used as an excuse to eat up more Palestinian lands by expanding the settlements building “security” fences around these settlements building special roads for these settlements or the building of the apartheid wall.
