TULKAREM (PIC)– Israeli occupation authorities have informed a number of Palestinians of its intention to confiscate their lands which lie around Jewish only settlements in the Tulkarem district.
The lands lie around the settlement of Enav and Avnei Hefitz which were originally built on lands confiscated from Palestinins.
The plan also includes installing cctv cameras in the targeted area which is prompting fears that further confiscations are planned.
Suhail al-Salaman head of the popular committee for resisting the apartheid wall said that installing cameras at the borders of the two Jewish settlements reinforces settlement in the targeted area and will intimidate Palestinians working in their fields in the area.
He said that the committee and Palestinian farmers started a legal process to prevent the confiscation and stressed that all farmers have title deeds that prove ownership of their lands.
