OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have kidnapped Monday Palestinian Jerusalemite lawmaker Mohammed Tutah of the change and reform bloc in the Palestinian legislature at the Hussien Bridge separating the West Bank and Jordan.
Palestinian sources revealed that the lawmaker was returning home from the Jordanian capital Amman where he stayed for few months before deciding to return to his town in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Tutah was elected as member of the Palestinian legislature representing Jerusalem district along with his two colleagues MPs Mohamed Abu Tair and Ahmed Atton.
The IOF kidnapped Abu Tair and Atton last June along with some 40 Hamas legislators and PA ministers including PLC speaker Dr. Aziz Dwaik and retained them in jails since then.
The IOF kidnapping of the lawmakers meant to pressure Hamas Movement into releasing captured IOF serviceman Gilad Shalit who was seized in a purely military operation days before the MP’s abduction and taken as POW under the custody of the Palestinian resistance.
However the kidnapped lawmakers refused to be part of any prisoner swap deal with Israel explaining that they were duly elected as representatives of the Palestinian people in transparent democratic elections and thus they must be freed unconditionally.
Captors of Shalit demanded that all Palestinian female and children prisoners be freed in addition to 1000 Palestinian captives serving long-imprisonment terms in Israeli jails in return for Shalit’s safe release. Israel has not agreed to their demands yet.
In an unrelated matter the Aqsa foundation that caters for holy Muslim shrines in occupied Palestine unveiled that the fanatic Jewish Ela’ad society was digging a new 10-meter-deep tunnel near the northern side of the Aqsa Mosque that would later on stretch to its foundations.
In a statement it issued Monday and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC the foundation affirmed that the length of the excavations has reached 30 meters which it added proves that the IOA was doubling efforts to expedite the destruction of the Mosque and installing the alleged Third Temple over its ruins.
Few days ago the Jewish administration of Jerusalem city granted another Jewish fanatic group a building permit to build a synagogue just 150 meters away from the Dome of the Rock Mosque.
Amidst those dangers surrounding the Aqsa Mosque the foundation appealed to Arab and Muslim worlds as well Muslim and Christian organizations worldwide to immediately intervene to stop the ongoing Israeli excavations under the Aqsa Mosque and to spare it any unwarranted harm.
