JENIN (PIC)– Tens of members of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of the Hamas Movement on Saturday were deployed in various suburbs and axes in the West Bank city of Jenin to protect Hamas-affiliated buildings and cadres.
The Qassam members delivered a statement on the occasion of the martyrdom of field commander Yehya Ayyash affirming that all their guns would remain directed at Israeli occupation.
The statement however warned that anyone thinking of transferring the strife from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank would receive the “just punishment”.
It also asked the PA security apparatuses to assume their role in protecting civil institutions and officials pointing to the attack on the car of PA minister of prisoners’ affairs Wasfi Kabaha that left it in ruins.
Other Hamas-affiliated institutions and cadres came under attack in Jenin which Hamas counted at 25 attacks over the past couple of months.
