IOA slaps travel ban on 5 Palestinians sentences girl to 5 years

Thursday 15-December-2016

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) issued Wednesday an order banning five Palestinians from Occupied Jerusalem from leaving the country due to their membership in and activities with Hamas.

According to the Yisrael Hume newspaper Israel’s minister of the interior Aryeh Deri signed a travel ban against five Palestinian residents of Occupied Jerusalem under the security pretext.

According to the same source the travel ban was implemented after the IOA received information that the five Palestinians planned on leaving the country to promote anti-occupation activity such as transferring funds from different countries to Hamas in an attempt to boost anti-occupation activism and support the peaceful Muslim sit-inners at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

The travel ban is to remain into effect for six months.

Meanwhile the Israeli Central Court in Occupied Jerusalem sentenced the Palestinian girl Ataya Abu Eisheh 29 to five years in jail.

The sentence was issued against detainee Abu Eisheh a native of Kafr Akab town in northern Occupied Jerusalem on charges of attempting to carry out an anti-occupation stabbing in the city in December 2015 using a screwdriver.

However Abu Eisheh was kidnapped by the occupation forces from Bab al-Amoud area with no proof on whether she intended to carry out the alleged stabbing attack.
