Sunday 11-December-2016

Dozens of Palestinians took to Jerusalem streets at noontime Saturday to observe the birthday of Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him).

The march was staged by the al-Hilal al-Makdisi club in partnership with a plethora of socio-cultural institutions activists and Arab MKs.

Joint Arab List representatives in the Israeli parliament (Knesset) Ahmad al-Tibi and Osama Saadi took part in the march.

Addressing the marchers MK al-Tibi said: “Today we are celebrating the birthday of prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him. We wish you a very happy year and many happy returns.”

“We are taking part in the march to tell the Israelis and the world that Jerusalem will forever remain for Palestinians and Arabs” he stated.

Al-Tibi called for similar events so as to face up to Israel’s Judaization schemes.

“Israel cannot change history. The al-Aqsa is the crowning jewel of the entire city” he added.

“Adhan (Muslim call to prayer) will forever be echoed through the loudspeakers of Jerusalem mosques and churches” the MK vowed.

“From Bab al-Amoud where we are standing today we cry out loud: The minarets will never be silenced; never ever shall they be so. Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest.”
