Israeli bulldozers knock down 2 Palestinian structures in Jerusalem

Tuesday 6-December-2016

Israeli bulldozers at dawn Monday razed two civilian structures in eastern Occupied Jerusalem to the ground.

Palestinian citizen Alaa Shweiki said the Israeli border cops and special troops cordoned off a barrack of his own for breeding horses in Silwan at 6 a.m. and seized the horses.

Israeli bulldozers continued the demolition of the 220-square-meter barrack and stole a horse worth $91600.

The demolition was carried out under the pretext of unlicensed construction and without prior notifications.

On 15 November 2016 the occupation forces partially knocked down the barrack before they reduced it to rubble in the early morning hours.

At the same time the Israeli bulldozers razed a home under construction owned by the Palestinian citizen Sa’id al-Abassi in Silwan town.

Last Saturday the occupation authorities ordered al-Abassi to self-demolish the home without explaining the reasons for the move.

Over recent years Israeli demolitions of Palestinian homes and structures have seen an unprecedented hike across the occupied territories.

At least 230 Palestinian buildings were knocked down by the Israeli authorities in Occupied Jerusalem since the start of 2016.
