Yildirim: Turkey on guard to Israeli attempts to Judaize Jerusalem

Wednesday 30-November-2016

Israeli attempts to wipe out the Islamic identity of Occupied Jerusalem shall never see the day Turkish PM Benali Yildirim told conferees in Istanbul.

Speaking during the Parliamentarians for Jerusalem Conference held in the Turkish metropolitan city of Istanbul Yildirim stressed Turkey’s historic responsibility in defending Occupied Jerusalem against Israel’s Judaization schemes.

“The only means to work out the Palestinian cause is to show a strong commitment to Palestinian rights and cease ongoing violations in Palestine and Occupied Jerusalem” added Yildirim.

He said the international community should take it upon its shoulders to defend Occupied Jerusalem against Israeli aggressions and violations.

He revealed underway efforts by Turkey to have all the world states recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state.

The Turkish diplomat called for the need to boost Palestinian national reconciliation.

Yildirim voiced Turkey’s concerns over the repercussions of Israel’s ban on Adhan (Muslim call to prayers) saying: “We cannot accept a decision to ban Adhan. We will stand on guard to whoever attempts to infringe Muslims’ rights.”

Head of the Parliamentarians for Jerusalem Association Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar offered a gift to Ben Yildirim in recognition of Turkey’s pro-Palestine standpoint.
