The health ministry in Gaza has said that its hospitals and medical centers still suffer greatly from the electricity crisis in the besieged enclave and are also unable to obtain sufficient fuel supplies to operate generators.
Spokesman for the ministry Ashraf al-Qudra stated on Monday that the ministry’s medical facilities in Gaza were affected by the scheduled power outages which increased their dependency on using power generators and led to high fuel consumption.
Qudra appealed to all concerned parties to necessarily make concerted efforts to provide hospitals and medical centers in Gaza with sufficient amounts of fuel in order to ensure continuity of its services.
