OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Israeli civil administration announced its intent to build nine military watchtowers in order to keep tabs on bypasses into the occupied West Bank.
As part of the first phase of the plan five watchtowers were built on different bypasses across the occupied territories and were equipped with surveillance cameras.
The Israeli occupation authorities further issued a decision to hold sway over Palestinian lands in northern Ramallah near the Beit El illegal settlement so as to build a watchtower to protect Israeli settlers and prevent anti-occupation activism.
According to the Israeli military plan high-precision surveillance cameras and balloons will be installed in the new watchtowers so as to monitor Palestinians’ movement across the occupied West Bank.
