Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) banned the travel of 17 Palestinian citizens via al-Karama crossing between the West Bank and Jordan during the past week said Palestinian security sources on Saturday.
In a statement on Saturday the Palestinian police said that the IOA prevented 17 Palestinians from leaving the West Bank under unreleased security pretexts.
The statement pointed out that 35000 Palestinians were able to pass through al-Karama crossing the only outlet connecting the West Bank Palestinians with the outside world through Jordan in both directions during the same reported period.
According to the statement Palestinian police who were stationed at the crossing arrested 38 Palestinians including some of those who were banned from travel over the past seven days.
