Palestinian and Lebanese political forces on Friday afternoon organized a sit-in in the Lebanese city of Tyre in solidarity with Occupied Jerusalem and in protest at the US recognition of the holy city as Israel’s capital.
The longest Palestinian flag was carried and waved by dozens of participants during the sit-in which was held under the slogan “Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine.”
During the sit-in former Lebanese MP Hasan Hoballah slammed in his speech the US administration for its position over Jerusalem saying that “its arrogance collapsed in the corridors of the UN at the hands of the Palestinians who firmly confronted the decision.”
“Today we are stronger than ever and we are ready to confront the enemy (Israel) anytime and able to impose our opinion” Hoballah said.
