About 40 administrative detention orders have been issued by Israel against Palestinian citizens since the beginning of the current month December.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) 22 of those administrative detention orders were issued for the first time against prisoners and the others were extensions to previous similar orders against 18 prisoners who have spent months or years in jail with no indictment or trial.
Those detainees including two lawmakers received different administrative prison terms ranging between three to six months.
