Palestinian youth groups have called for escalating the intifada (uprising) against the Israeli occupation and blocking bypass roads in the occupied West Bank on Monday to prevent Jewish settlers from using them.
On social media pages the youth groups said that the road closures are parts of the protests against the Israeli occupation and the US recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The occupied Palestinian territories have been witnessing over the past ten days widespread protests and clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in protest at the US step. Eight Palestinian young men were killed during these events.
