A Palestinian elderly woman died of a heart attack after Israeli soldiers fired outside her home stun grenades in Zubaydat town in the Jordan Valley north of Jericho.
A local source explained that the incident happened after an Israeli military force stormed the town raided homes and embarked on firing flares and stun grenades intensively on the streets.
Suddenly a 60-year-old woman called Hamdah Zubaydat opened the door of her house to see what was happening when soldiers deliberately fired stun grenades near her. She suffered a heart attack and died on the spot according to the source.
The Israeli occupation forces recently intensified its arrest campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem in an attempt to contain the angry Palestinian protests that was triggered by the US recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
