Member of Fatah’s central committee Azzam al-Ahmed has affirmed that all the obstacles in the way of the government and its work in Gaza have been removed.
In remarks to a Saudi satellite channel on Thursday al-Ahmed said that most of the ministers were able on Wednesday and Thursday to assume their ministerial duties fully in Gaza.
He added that the previous employees started to return to their workplaces in ministries and other government facilities and that there are efforts to solve the issue of all the employees who had been appointed following the Palestinian division.
In another context al-Ahmed said that the Palestinian Authority (PA) suspended its contacts with Washington after US president Donald Trump declared that Jerusalem was Israel’s capital.
“Following yesterday’s decision all communications have been cut off with the US which classified itself as an enemy of the Palestinian cause and the aspirations of the Palestinian people” the Fatah official said.
