Israeli police arrested Monday three Palestinian lawyers from occupied Jerusalem and al-Lud city within the Green Line and briefly detained four of al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards.
The four guards Lu’ai Abu al-Saad Ahmed Abu Alia Fadi Abu Mezer and Qasim Kamal were detained and subjected to brief investigation before being all released except of Abu al-Saad whose detention was extended.
Abu al-Saad was earlier summoned for investigation before being released along with the guard Hamza Nimer and head of Women Guards Department Zinat Abu Subeih.
Along the same line Israeli police arrested three lawyers including Sheikh Raed Salah’s lawyer Khaled Zabarqa after breaking into his house in al-Lud city.
In addition to Zabarqa Israeli policemen also arrested two other Palestinian lawyers identified as Iyad Misk and Firas Sabbah.
Iyad Misk head of the legal unit at the Detainees Affairs Commission was rounded up from his Kufr Aqab home north of occupied Jerusalem and was taken to Petah Tekva interrogation center in central Israel the Commission said. No reason was given for this detention.
