A number of Palestinians were kidnapped and others injured by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.
Eight Israeli army patrols stormed the home of the slain Palestinian protester Samer Awad in Nablus’s southern town of Ourata at the crack of dawn and wreaked havoc on the building before they subjected the locals to field interrogation.
At the same time two Palestinian young men from Balata camp in Nablus were injured by Israeli snipers during clashes that broke out following a mass break-in by Israeli settlers into Joseph’s Tomb east of Nablus.
Overnight two Palestinian youths from the Marshoud family including an ex-prisoner were kidnapped by the IOF at Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus.
The occupation army further cracked down on Palestinians at a makeshift checkpoint set up near the main entrance to Jenin’s western town of Rumana.
Palestinian vehicles and civilians passing through the area have been made to endure intensive searches.
The IOF also stormed a carwash owned by the Palestinian citizen Muadh al-Ahmed before they cordoned off Palestinian olive groves.
