The Israeli police on Monday closed Bab al-Maghareba which has been under Israeli control since 1967 after 64 Jewish settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque.
Quds Press reported that about 49 settlers as well as 15 officers of the Israeli intelligence service stormed the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning shift of incursions.
The news agency added that the settlers were given presentations on the alleged Temple Mount during the break-in before they left the site via Bab al-Silsila where they performed prayers and Talmudic rituals.
It pointed out that Bab al-Maghareba was closed at 10:30 am and settlers were allowed to tour the Mosque for three hours and a half.
More than 200 settlers on Sunday were allowed to enter al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon shifts of incursions.
