The Ruwad Beit al-Maqdis Conference staged by the International Coalition to Support Jerusalem and Palestine kicked off in Istanbul on Friday.
700 participants are expected to take part in the two-day conference held under the slogan “a steadfast people . . . a giving nation” to discuss ways to support Occupied Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause.
Speaking at the opening address member of Sudan’s National Congress Leadership Office Abdul Jalil al-Karouri denounced the Israeli violations against the Muslim worshipers at holy al-Aqsa Mosque dubbing them “an earthquake befalling Arabs and Muslims.”
He acclaimed the role played by Beit al-Maqdis Conference in propping Palestinians’ steadfastness in the face of the Israeli crackdowns and violations at al-Aqsa Mosque.
