Senior Hamas official Zakariya Muammar has said that “the train of reconciliation has moved carrying a real will to end the division forever” stressing that “his Movement burned down all the bridges it crossed to reach this stage and there is no turning back.”
Muammar made his remarks during a political symposium held by Hamas’s national relations department in Khan Younis on Tuesday evening.
“Hamas feels that the [Palestinian] cause is going through a serious and critical juncture that can only be confronted with unity and that the reconciliation will act like a lever for the cause” the Hamas official underlined.
He stressed that his Movement would never accept regional solutions at the expense of the national constants and would uphold the reconciliation as a strategic option to achieve the Palestinian unity.
