Israeli police in Occupied Jerusalem banned on Tuesday evening the Jerusalemite Yahya Beseileh who is one of al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards from accessing the holy site for 15 days.

Beseileh was released by the police on Monday evening from al-Qashale investigation center west of the holy city where he was told not to enter the holy shrine for 15 days at the pretext of attacking police officers.

For his part the media and public relations official at the Awqaf Department Firas al-Dibes said that Israeli police brutally beat and arrested the guard Beseileh from his workplace at Bab al-Majles area. He was rounded up after confronting a female police officer who hit a Palestinian child while entering al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli police in Occupied Jerusalem banned on Tuesday Sheikh Khaled al-Mughrebi from accessing al-Aqsa Mosque in the holy city for 15 days.

Sheikh Mughrabi said that he was arrested by the police as he entered the holy site from al-Ghawanmeh gate. He was taken to al-Qashale investigation center west of the city where he waited for nine hours before he was interrogated.

He told Quds Press that he was released at dawn Tuesday shortly after the investigation and that he was charged with rioting in a public area and obstruction of police officers. He denied all the charges brought against him and was released on condition that a 15-day entry ban order is placed against him. He explained that he usually gives religious lessons only between prayers at the plazas of al-Aqsa Mosque

Sheikh Mughrabi was subjected to many arrests and summonses by Israeli police in Occupied Jerusalem. He was also targeted by an incitement campaign by Israeli organizations that accused him of inciting the Palestinians to violence against the Jews.
