Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday under the heavy escort of police forces.
116 settlers and two Intelligence officers broke into the Mosque in four groups via the Israeli-controlled Magharibeh gate the PIC field reporter said.
The settlers performed Talmudic rituals in the compound in blatant provocation to Palestinian worshipers.
Meanwhile Israeli forces continued to stop and search Palestinian worshipers at the Mosque’s gates restricting their access to its courtyards.
The Israeli occupation authorities have been working on effecting a spatio-temporal division of al-Aqsa between Muslims and Jews that was met with protests on the part of Muslims.
