Deputy Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk met on Tuesday with the Russian ambassador to Egypt Sergei Kiribchenko.
Hamas’s official website stated that Abu Marzouk acquainted Kiribchenko with the latest developments with regards to the Palestinian reconciliation and Hamas’s efforts exerted for the sake of overcoming the obstacles on the way of achieving national unity.
He also talked over the Hamas delegation’s visit to Cairo and the Egyptian promises in relation to Rafah border crossing.
Both sides discussed the current circumstances in the region especially the American stance vis-a-vis the Palestinian question and the US bias to Israel.
Kiribchenko for his part welcomed the anticipated visit of Hamas Movement to Russia and affirmed his country’s support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. He stressed the importance of national unity among the Palestinian factions.
