Nearly 8000 Palestinian passengers managed to pass through al-Karama crossing in both directions during the second day of Eid official sources revealed Sunday.
Spokesman for the Palestinian police affirmed in a statement issued Sunday evening that 8000 were able to travel via the crossing between the West Bank and Jordan including 6400 departures and 1600 arrivals.
Last month 275000 Palestinian citizens and visitors to Palestine were able to travel through the crossing.
Al-Karama crossing also known as Allenby is a bridge that spans the Jordan River and connects the West Bank with Jordan.
The crossing is the sole designated exit and entry point for West Bank Palestinians traveling in and out of the Israeli occupied territories.
