Israeli police on Friday arrested two Palestinians in Beit Hanina neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem for allegedly possessing weapons and took them for interrogation.
The police said that they seized three pieces of weapon of various kinds in addition to some ammunition and arrested two Palestinians during raids on Palestinian houses in Jerusalem.
An Israeli police spokesman said that the raids were part of a campaign launched by the police “to confiscate illegal weapons” in Jerusalem.
He added that the operation which targeted specific houses was carried out with the participation of the police dogs unit and border guards.
