The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning forcibly prevented Palestinian citizens in al-Khalil from entering the Old City.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that dozens of Israeli soldiers spread in the heart of the Old City particularly in al-Shallalah street acted violently towards passing Palestinian citizens and prevented them from entering the Old City.
They added that one young man called Alaa an-Natsha was brutally beaten by soldiers after he tried to reach his destination in the Old City.
There are several vital Palestinian institutions in the Old City including Cairo Amman Bank Arab Bank the offices of the foreign and interior ministries al-Khalil Rehabilitation Committee and the Islamic Awqaf Bureau.
